Part of the Aterno-Pescara river system, the Tirino River flows from the spring on the Gran Sasso Mountain range across the municipalities of Capestrano and Ofena in the province of Aquila before passing through Bussi (PE), where you can go on boat rides. It’s considered one of the most beautiful and cleanest rivers in Italy, and its flora and fauna are natural gems of rare beauty. The Tirino Valley is located in the Gran Sasso and Laga Mountains National Park.
