Description

The call for projects issued by the Regione Marche is aimed at supporting the production of audiovisual works with the underlying intention of increasing the competitiveness of small and medium sized businesses and professionals working directly or indirectly in the audiovisual industry in the region and, also, to promote the territory, its identity, cultural heritage and tourist offer through the productions supported.

The € 5M budget is allocated as follows:

  • €4,000,000 for feature-length films, TV films and Series, including €400,000 earmarked primarily for Animation projects;
  • €1,000,000 for documentaries, short films and formats, including €100,000 earmarked primarily for Animation projects.

Requirements

The businesses must have the following requisites:

  • Be the sole producer, a majority or minority coproducer (with coproduction contract) or executive producer;
  • Have financial coverage for the work, equal to min. 20% of the cost of the sample copy.

Payment schedule

The grant will be disbursed to the successful applicant in a maximum of three payments, including a potential early balance payment.

  • Single payment, following examination of the final accounting of the proven and relevant expenses and when all other obligations have been met, within 80 days of presentation of the request.

Or:

  • First payment, as an ADVANCE, of 40% of the entire grant, on presentation of the financial guarantee covering the full amount;
  • Second payment, 40% of the entire grant, at the end of shooting/work on the product and on presentation of the correct financial reporting of the eligible expenses, paid by the beneficiary and any coproducers, equal to at least 80% of the eligible expenses
  • Third payment, the BALANCE, of the remaining 20% of the entire grant, on examination of the final financial report of the correctly accounted, eligible expenses and when all other obligations have been met, within 90 days 80 days of presentation of the request for the balance.

Notes

The application must be made online by the legal representative of the business or their proxy, using the SIGEF platform.

The funded project must be produced and completed within 24 months of the date of acceptance of the grant or the date of communication of the start of work/shoot in the Marche region, with the exception of agreed upon extensions.

All works may be conceded extensions of up to 3 months for valid reasons, upon request to the Fondazione Marche Cultura.

Work must begin after the application has been submitted and no later than 90 days from the date when the successful applicants have communicated their acceptance of the grant.
