Where it was filmed 'I Can Quit Whenever I Want - Masterclass'

A few months have passed since the memorable endeavours of the gang of researchers: smart drugs are on the rise and the police have their hands tied, as the narcotics in question are legal in many cases. Inspector Paola Coletti asks Pietro and his friends to take action bordering on the illegal to put together a catalogue of substances to ban.

Pietro accepts, provided that he can bring in reinforcements in the form of academics that have joined the brain drain: from Bangkok in Thailand comes Giulio Bolle, a theoretical anatomist and the biggest expert in the human body in the world, who earns a living with street fighters; from Lagos (actually a plant nursery in Ardea, south of Rome) comes Lucio Napoli, a graduate in mechatronic engineering who sells weapons as if they were vacuum cleaners to third-world guerrilla fighters. And last but not least, there’s the lawyer of the gang: Vittorio, an expert in canon law, from Vatican City. The scene in which we see Vittorio taking a stroll with one of his wards was filmed in the gardens of Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola (VT).

Once again featured in this film are the exteriors of La Sapienza University in Rome and the Minerva: Lucio provides the group with equipment he has recovered from among the protytpes built for engineering theses and never placed on the market due to a lack of funding.

These prototypes are put to the test straight away during a long scene featuring a chase and the partial destruction of the archaeological area of Villa Adriana in Tivoli.

The final push, before their hoped-for reward, freedom and a clean criminal record, sees our heroes drive down Viale della Civiltà del Lavoro in the EUR district in absurd Nazi-era cars emblazoned with flags and swastikas. They are framed with the lit-up arches of Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana (or rather the ‘Square Colosseum’) behind them as they head towards the Civitavecchia port, which they arrive at through the Varco Fortezza entrance.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt;" times="" new="" roman",="" serif;="" letter-spacing:="" normal;"="">Last but not least, the scene in which the group storms a train was shot along the straight Via Enrico Fermi, in the industrial area of Brindisi, where there is a stretch of railway 2.5km long running between two roads.
