Comune dell’Aquila, Bando Restart
Memories is part of a wider project, LAB8, which won the Call for Proposals entitled “Restart: Sviluppo delle potenzialità culturali per l’attrattività turistica del Cratere” issued by the Comune dell’Aquila which aimed at promoting the small villages of Abruzzo affected by the 2009 earthquake and encouraging tourism in the low Aterno Valley. The aim of the game is to collect pictures and images in the area: historical buildings, monuments, churches and towers, landscapes and views of nature, walking and accumulating points by using the step-counter of a smartphone. This way, the player builds a photo album and can access the summaries describing the places. The game also includes a competitive multiplayer mode where players can challenge friends to get the highest number of photos.
