The setting is a farmhouse on the outskirts of Naples, a castle-like building in the middle of nowhere that is under an eviction order to make way for the building of a flyover for a key highway outside the Parthenopean city. The castle and its courtyard represent the world to 13 year old Anna (debut performance from Dominique Donnarumma) who has a difficult relationship with her mother Susi (Antonia Truppo), intent on providing her daughter with a better life.
