Antonio suffers a betrayal. In the industrious province where he grew up, the town's bank has always been trusted. The bank has always been a confessional for everyone: it knows the life, death and miracles of the entire community. It has accompanied the evolution and financed the legitimate desire for a home for them all. But the bank itself has deceived Antonio: he is the unwitting victim of its bankruptcy. Initially incredulous, he suffers the confusion and anguish of being betrayed by someone he trusted and the shame of not having understood what was happening.

Antonio is the main character in Cento Domeniche, directed by and starring Antonio Albanese who chose locations in the province and city of Lecco where he was born and raised.

These include Olginate where locations featured Villa Schiatti, especially the garden overlooking the lake, which stands in as the vegetable garden belonging to Carlo (Elio De Capitani); the cemetery, with Antonio's father's grave; and the riverside. Villa Sirtori provided the gym, where Antonio goes to a meeting, and several settings used in scenes of group therapy. Locations also included the town streets, especially via Sant'Agnese which features the exterior of Antonio’s trusted bank, repository of his savings.

Locations were also provided by: Galbiate for the scenes outside and inside a pizzeria, Garlate for scenes inside a bowling club bar, and Lecco a clothing store.
