Villa Faraggiana in Albissola Marina (SV) was built in the 1700s as the Durazzo family residence and is now owned by the Comune of Novara.
The interiors have well-defined rooms. In the west wing, the gallery of the Seasons has a row of arches opening onto the garden and displays a fresco cycle and sculptures. The east wing houses the Chapel of our Lady of Mercy while the music room, library, a bedroom with prestigious golden furnishings and another with prestigious multi-coloured, 18th century stuccowork can all be found on the piano nobile.
The vast garden annexed to the villa combines various styles, from classic Italian to French layouts and practical terracing. The garden is enlivened by sculptures, fountains and gazebos.
