The 7th Italy - Baltic States Development Award for Co-Production grants €20k to Enrico Landi’s ‘Tre Madri’

The results of the seventh Italy-Baltic States Co-development Award have been published on the website of Italy’s Directorate-General for Cinema and Audiovisual (Mic DGCA).  The Award offers a total of €40k, with €20k provided by the Ministry of Culture and €20k by EFI/NFCL/LFC, the equivalent institutions in Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.

The winner, a majority-Italian project - Tre Madri, directed by Enrico Landi, with a screenplay written by Landi with Dino Gentili and Liga Gaisa; produced by Jolefilm (Italy, 80%) with AIR Productions (Latvia, 20%) – will receive €20 k from MiC.

To be eligible for funding, the works must have a producer with a registered office in Italy or in one of the Baltic States; the respective contributions of the two sides can vary between 20% and 80%.

The grant is disbursed no later than 180 days from the decree approving the ranking, during this time the beneficiary may request a 50% advance, disbursed within 30 days from the decree announcement on signature of the agreement with the granting institution. No later than 18 months from the announcement, the beneficiary may request the balance, on presentation of the required documentation. The balance is disbursed within 90 days.
