The Filming Cagliari call for tenders is now open, offering film and audio-visual production companies reimbursement for expenses incurred in 2021 while shooting films, audio-visual works or documentaries in the municipality of Cagliari.
There is a budget of €150,000 to disburse: companies with minimum spend of €15,000 can obtain up to €60,000 (films or TV drama) or up to €50,000 (documentaries and docufictions) when the amount spent in the territory is equivalent to 120% of the contribution requested. The expenses must have been made to individuals or businesses that are fiscally domiciled in the territory of the municipality.
The deadline for applications is 31 March 2022.
The Fondazione Sardegna Film Commission intends to promote and support the artistic and environmental heritage of Sardinia and to boost her professional and technical resources, in order to attract Italian and international film and audio-visual productions to the island, and thereby publicize and share awareness and knowledge of the island of Sardinia, her culture, land and history in Italy and abroad, through multiple training, promotional and production activities.
In particular, this policy aims at attracting investments in the audio-visual sector by opening the territory of the municipality of Cagliari to the cineteleaudiovisual production system with the hopes of subsequent investments, employment opportunities and competitive products that can contribute to the economic, culture and industrial flow across the island, not only in Cagliari.
