Description

The call establishes the criteria and methods for contributions to “non-continuous activities” related to the “production of audiovisual works” in 2024 and 2025, specifically short films with a total duration of less than or equal to 52 minutes.

The allocated budget for the call comes to €260,970.26 (with €118,530.63 earmarked from the 2024 budget, and €142,439.63 to be drawn from that of 2025).

Requirements

  • Minimum working days on the territory:

    2-3 of the total working days

Funding grants are available for “non-continuous activities” related to the “production of audiovisual works”, specifically short films with a total duration of less than or equal to 52 minutes; produced between 1 January 2024 and 31 August 2025.

Requirements:

  1. the work must have a historical, artistic-cultural link to the region, in addition to an environmental and territorial connection;
  2. no less than two-thirds (2/3) of the total days of executive production / filming / technical production must take place in the region;
  3. at least 30% of the crew must be resident in Abruzzo;
  4. no less than 40% of the costs must be spent in the region;
  5. the region of Abruzzo must be recognizable in at least 40% of the completed product.

Application proposals must include:

  1. a precise description of the individual project phases (development, pre-production, executive production / filming / technical production of the work, post-production);
  2. treatment and/or screenplay and technical specs. of the proposed audiovisual work;
  3. information regarding the co-financing of the work - the applicant’s resources or those of private third parties – amounting to no less than 20% of the overall cost of the project.

Payment schedule

Following assessment by the Evaluation Commission, the ranking of potential grantees is published.

The beneficiaries are informed of the contribution provisionally granted, in compliance with the available resources and assigned a deadline of no more than 7 days, to communicate acceptance.

Upon receipt of the abovementioned communication, the Regional Administration will proceed to disburse an advance, a maximum of 50% of the total amount provisionally granted within the limit of the financial resources available in the reference year 2024.

The grant will be forfeit if written acceptance is not received within the required deadline.

Notes

Applicants must expressly declare their commitment to conclude the project no later than August 31, 2025 with delivery of a copy of the completed work and expense report to the relevant agency by September 30, 2025.
