Where it was filmed 'Un passo dal cielo 4'

The TV drama is famous for putting actor Terence Hill back on a horse (a nod to his past roles, in films like They Called Him Trinity) in his role as Pietro Thiene, forest ranger. In Season 4, the lead character changes but the setting remains the same.

From Season 1, the central location for the series has been Val Pusteria, zone 3 Zinnen Dolomites in Alto Adige. Many of the events that take place are set in the village of San Candido, including the locations for the characters’ homes, the hospital and hotels. Other scenes were shot near the famous Tre cime di Lavaredo, a symbol of the Dolomites and the Sexten Dolomites in particular, and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

However, the most symbolic setting of the series is the emerald-green lake Braies, where the Commander of the Forest Rangers lives in a wooden stilt house.

Several scenes for the fourth season were shot along the Tirino river in Abruzzo.
