Standing on the banks of the river Po on the outskirts of Cremona, Lo Stagno is an ancient farmhouse surrounded by 130 hectares of fields and forests of poplars and broad-leaved trees with a small lake known as Lo Stagno which gives the property its name.
The complex, of notable architectural value, was founded by the Benedictines of Nonantola in the 14th century and it contains ancient frescoes, majestic fireplaces and antique furnishings and decorations that have belonged to the owners for generations. It is presently a hotel.
