The Sanctuary of Montalbano, dedicated to Our Lady of the Annunciation, is located in a panoramic position in Mori (Trento), on the tip of a rocky spur, offering an evocative view over Valley Lagarina, and features a pinnacle bell tower with a majestic clock face 4m in diameter.
It was built on the site of the ancient castle of Castelbarco. The 6-panel entranceway, by sculptor Luigi Bombana, is carved with important dates in the history of Mori. It conserves some notable 17th century canvasses by Gasparantonio Cavalcabò. Adjoining the sanctuary are the rooms that provided lodging for the hermits who guarded the sanctuary.
