Dedicated to a famous mathematician from Milan, largo Gaetana Agnesi is a square in the Monti neighbourhood of Rome located between via del Colosseo and via Vittorino da Feltre. One of the best views of the Colosseum, Colle Oppio and the Palatine Hill (towards the Roman forum) can be seen from the staircase and central terrace and also from the immediate surroundings, such as the balcony on via Nicola Salvi below or via Vittorino Da Feltre. The footbridge that crosses above via degli Annibaldi leads to the so-called “garden of monte Oppio” which starts above and just to the east of largo Gaetan Agnesi. The entire area was pedestrianised in 2018.
