Everything changes from one day to the next for John Fontanelli (Philip Froissant), a young courier who goes around Berlin on a bicycle with his friends, not a cent in his pocket but enjoying his independence to the full. Until the day he is surprised by incredible news: he is the only heir to a fortune created over 500 years ago. Over the centuries, this has grown to a staggering $1 trillion. John is the rightful heir and, in one fell swoop, the richest person in the world. But the legacy is linked to an unusual obligation: John must restore humanity’s lost future! In the face of climate change, environmental pollution and savage financial capitalism, this seems an almost impossible task. Searching for answers, he accepts the challenge. In the process, he makes enemies of some very powerful people.
