The first product from the Amhardcore duo, Nott Longa ( “long night” in the dialect of Romagna) was created within the Almagià Creative Hub, coordinated by Rete Almagià with E Production and the Assessorato alle Politiche Giovanili del Comune di Ravenna, in collaboration with the Comune di Mantova, as part of the “Anci Sinergie” call for projects focussing on young people.
The official presentation reads: “Nott Longa is a graphic folk horror adventure that derives from the meeting of two different worlds: the folklore of the watery lands of Romagna and the nostalgic imagination of retro-gaming. Forgetting and nostalgia become confused in the liminal dimension of Nott Longa, an old-style video game where glitches and ghosts have corrupted what should have been a simple retro game like many others. The game begins when you discover that you are stuck in this symbolic and stratified place where you realise that the sun has stopped rising, amidst characters like the Azdôres, the Alien, the Umarèll and ancestral creatures such as Bessabova, ruler of chaos, and Piligrena, the spirit of the will o’ the wisp”.
