The Petit Monde Museum in Torgnon comprises three ancient buildings in wood and stone: the 15th century raccard (open-sided barn) used to dry grains; the grandze, a grange used for similar functions, but built in the 18th century; and the greneir, a barn used to store agricultural produce. These constructions have remained intact through time and demonstrate what life was like in this little corner of the mountain which developed a “little world” all its own. There are several exhibition rooms set up in the buildings displaying the tools used in agricultural and pastoral work.
The route continues through the higher part of the village of Triatel with a chapel dedicated to St. Roche, represented on the façade alongside St. Bernard and St. Antony. There is a river in the surroundings and the village mill is still working. This is a good place to set back off into the countryside and reaching the village of Etirol, passing several rascards (typical of the Alpine region) en route.
