The Borroni Factory was a large fabric manufacturing plant in 1890, which became a family business from 1925 to 2001. Today the space offers a special location for events.
The former factory is composed of three rooms and adjacent spaces: Sala del Cavedio, a welcoming, cosy room, Sala delle Colonne, a wide airy space with striking red cast-iron columns and the Sala della Bilancia, whose 7,50m high arched ceilings are reminders of the industrial soul of the location. It is completely surrounded by 1,500m2 of parkland with ancient trees, open spaces and an unusual fountain. Completing the structure is the original 25m chimney while the open brick work evokes its industrial past.
Inside, the Borroni Collection of over 500 artworks, by the Scuola Romana Via Degli Ausoni, del Medialismo e della Nuova Figurazione Italiana, photographs and Street Art is on display.
