The headquarters of the University of Trento in the suburb of Povo house the Department of Engineering and Computer Science, the Department of Industrial Engineering and the CIBIO research centre.
The structure comprises two interconnected functional blocks and has a surface area of approximately 20,000 m2 with classrooms, teaching laboratories and research laboratories plus collective spaces for study and recreational activities, offices, canteen, library and parking.
The final project was designed by a group comprising Ishimoto Architectural & Engineering Firm, Inc. based in Tokyo (parent company) and Ishimoto Europe S.r.l., Tekne S.p.a. and Corbellini S.r.l. based in Milan.
