Apulia is a region with a thousand facets, traditions and ancient professions. Gateway to the East and thoroughfare of peoples whose crossings date back thousands of years, these traces are still conserved in its inhabited settlements, archaeological remains and museums. Residential buildings reflect a variety of styles, ranging from Romanesque to Baroque and Renaissance. Hills, vast plains, olive orchards, rocky and sandy seascapes complete the landscape.
The Fondazione Apulia Film Commission works to develop the audio-visual industry in the region by creating a network of festivals, working on audience development and support for businesses, managing the regional multimedia libraries and three cinema terminals (in Bari, Lecce, Foggia), setting up co-production forums and co-operation projects and attracting and supporting domestic and international audio-visual production in the area.
