Sicily conserves an inestimable wealth of treasure in art, nature and culture on its territory. From extraordinary traces of classical antiquity, such as the Valle dei Templi in Agrigento, to masterpieces of contemporary art, such as the Grande Cretto in Gibellina, and including the Baroque jewels of the Val di Noto, the island offers its light and scents and the colours of the sea and its landscapes, derived from the many successive dominations, with generosity.
Established in 2007, the Sicilia Film Commission is a public body working within the Regional Council for Tourism, Sport and Entertainment. It promotes the Sicilian region as a location for audio-visual productions and supports the development of the local film industry and its professionals.
