Apulia Development Film Fund

Description

The call published by Fondazione Apulia Film Commission is aimed at supporting the phases of writing and pre-production of audiovisual, cinema, television, fiction or animation works (single works or series) with the intent of promoting the locations of the region.

The call is intended for small and medium sized businesses in the audiovisual industry who hold the majority rights for the audiovisual work presented.

The following projects are eligible:

Category CINEMA: feature-length fiction films with a minimum run time of 52 minutes, intended primarily for theatrical release;
Category TV SERIES: audio-visual works with a minimum overall run time of 120 minutes, intended primarily for television broadcast (including VoD and SVoD);
Category DOC: creative documentaries with a minimum run time of 52 minutes, intended primarily for theatrical release;
Category ANIMATION: animated feature-length film with a minimum run time of 52 minutes, intended primarily for theatrical release; animated works (single or series) with a minimum overall run time of 24 minutes intended primarily for television broadcast (including VoD and SVoD).

Requirements

The audiovisual works requesting funding must possess at least ONE of the following requirements:

The story is entirely – or majority – set in Apulia;
The work is written by a writer from Apulia or the ensemble of writers includes at least one writer from Apulia;
The work is an adaptation of a literary work by a writer from Apulia.

Payment schedule

The funds will be disbursed to the successful applicants by AFC:

in a single payment, following revision of the final accounting documents
in two payments:

advance of 50% on receipt of a warranty for the same amount as the advance;
the remaining balance following revision of the final accounting documents.
