The subtitle of the American version of the game, Passione Rossa, and the decision to reproduce the appearance and movements of just one car, show the specific desire of the game designers to pay tribute to the Ferrari cult. And although the Autodromo di Monza Circuit features as it was in 1998, it is the incorporation of the Fiorano Circuit that really demonstrates this intention: indeed, it is a private track located near Maranello built on the express orders of Enzo Ferrari, on which the company carries out its own private tests with a complex system of telemetric tools.

Racing game
Ferrari F355 Challenge is a driving simulator game developed by SEGA and created by game designer Yu Suzuki, who also designed the Shenmue, Virtua Fighter and OutRun series. Unlike its competitors, which give the player a more or less broad range of cars to choose from, Ferrari F355 bucks the trend and only allows the player to drive the Ferrari that gives its name to the game. This is compensated for by the care that has been put into simulating the movements and appearance of the car, making this one of the most rigorous and accurate driving games of the season. In the arcade version, the unit has three adjacent screens, so as to simulate what the driver would see from inside the car.
