Monza Racetrack – the autodromo nazionale di Monza – was built inside the Parco di Monza in 1922 by the Automobile Club of Milan, to mark its 25th anniversary. It was completed in only 110 days to a design by the architect Alfredo Rosselli, and in September 1922 hosted the second Gran Prix of Italy.
Since then, the track, one of the oldest in the world, has become a part of sporting legend, as the setting for the Italian Gran Prix, and dozens of other international events. Its location inside the park gives it a unique setting, the natural landscape also being of interest. The racetrack is also used for musical events, exhibitions, and guided tours with test drives that allow the visitor to discover its every detail.
