In a treasure hunt, the player makes their way through the streets of the old quarter of Castello. The camera captures and allows the player to take in some of the city’s landmarks. “Sardinia was home to a relatively famous sculptor, Pinuccio Sciola, who died in 2016. He made big sound-making stones and engraved them with his tools to make protrusions which, when hit, made sounds. We’ve made these sound-making stones come alive through augmented reality, and when you touch them on screen they really make sounds. The player must look around, interact with the landscape and look for clues in the local area”.

Adventure
Discover Cagliari is an augmented reality adventure funded by the Bank of Sardinia Foundation. The narrative background to the game is that our existence is threatened by beings from another dimension, demons that attack human beings and cities. To defend the human species from these attacks, a community of people with a common objective has formed. They are the Creators, who protect cities with magic.
