Monte Lussari is a mountain in the Julian Alps which is home to a small town with a convent at its centre. It is home to a number of traditional mountain lodges offering authentic cuisine and hospitality, and good starting points for heading out onto the ski slopes and trails. In 1360, a small church was built in the town, followed by the current church, which dates back to 1500 and 1600. Today the town is a pilgrimage destination.
