Montelargo is a town in the municipality of Laives (Bolzano) just below Falzes at around 1,000 meters a.s.l., on the Stegona - Falzes Provincial highway. There are a range of walks on the road leading in the direction of the Breitenberg malga (mountain hut). The forest, a compact group of conifers, is surprising for its bright green moss and picturesque patterns of light.
