The stretch of coastline known as the ‘Spiaggiola’ is located immediately to the south of the Passetto Caves and before the coastal areas of Scogli Lunghi and the Scalaccia. Bordered to the south by the morphological results of a landslide that took place decades ago and to the north by the sea, it can only be reached via a short trail, or by boat. It bears the classic characteristics of the southern coast of Ancona, along with features that make it unique: indeed, here the cliffs plummet straight down to the sea, with traditional caves carved out of their base. What makes the caves unique however is that they sit at different levels, and some of them even have little terraces.
Near the Spiaggiola, or rather above it (on the cliffs) is the Passetto public swimming pool, Passetto Park and Laghetti Park.
