Description

Large piazza della Rena (Sandplatz) by porta Bolzano, the eastern entrance to the old town of Merano, was recently modernized when an underground garage was built. The Baroque “Mariensäule” (column with Virgin Mary) is a reminder of the old square, while Kallmünz Castle stands out in the background.
