Mules is a small village in the municipality of Campo di Trens in the upper Isarco Valley. From the village, a provincial road leads to the Rizzolo farms, located at 1,500m above sea level. After about 1.5km, a secondary, narrow and unpaved road winds through a gorge of romantic and wild beauty that follows the path of the river Sengies, leading to the “Kingdom of Heaven” (or “Himmelreich”, as the gorge is called in German).
