The station of Casacalenda (CB) near the residential centre, was a pivotal point in the mobility planning of Molise developed in the late 1970s.
Its existence is due, in particular, to the Representative for Larino at the Chamber of Deputies, Scipione De Blasio, called in 1879 to chair a parliamentary commission planning the layout of the national railways which established the Termoli-Campobasso-Benevento line, including the station of Casacalenda.
Casacalenda. Presently in disuse because of the closure of the Campobasso-Termoli line, Casacalenda has the structure of a transit station with side access to the two platforms and wide open space outside.
