Montecatini Terme is one of the most well-known spa towns in Italy. The very symbol of the town is the spa park, a complex rich with establishments and facilities extending over an area of more than 420 thousand metres. Among the historical buildings of interest: the Convent and the Church of Santa Maria a Ripa, the Church of Santa Maria Assunta and the Palazzo Comunale (municipal building).
