The Cristallo Group in the Dolomites takes its name from its highest peak, mount Cristallo, which rises to an altitude of 3,221m. The mountain is located almost entirely in the region of Veneto, however, the northern side falls partly within the territory of the autonomous province of Bolzano, surrounded by the Braies Dolomites, Sesto Dolomites and the Tre Cime.
In addition to mount Cristallo, the main peaks of the group are cima di Mezzo, Piz Popena, Cristallino d’Ampezzo, Vecio del Forame and mount Cristallino di Misurina. There are six structures on the massif, comprising refuges and restaurants.
