Fund for the development of film co-productions between Chile and Italy

Description

The CNCA-MiBACT agreement establishes a bilateral fund for development, aimed at encouraging the Italian-Chilean co-production of feature films (fictional features, documentaries and animations) mainly for theatrical release.

Requirements

Films must involve at least one producer with its registered office in Chile and one producer with its registered office in Italy.

The respective contributions from each of the two countries may vary between 20% and 80%.

Payment schedule

Payment will be made by the Payment Body in two instalments as follows:

60% upon signing the agreement;
the remaining 40% upon submitting the co-production contract signed with a producer resident in Chile and certified proof of expenses covering development costs.

Notes

Principal photography must begin within 18 months of the grant being awarded.

This may be extended, under exceptional circumstances, to 36 months.
