The film, which was filmed live like a documentary, captures the lonely and alienating life of a lorry driver travelling the length and breadth of Europe, from Sweden to Seville, Budapest and Rome, passing through the regions of Northern Italy.
Branko’s articulated lorry is a house on wheels, in which he eats, sleeps and calls home, whilst transporting everything from apples to pigs. Filmed above all in the cab, in lay-bys, service stations and loading and unloading depots, there are few geographical points of reference, road signs or city names.
