Where it was filmed 'Swept Away'

A group of rich kids hires a boat for a private cruise between Italy and Greece (shooting took place between Italy and Malta). Their days are filled with chatting, dips in the crystal-clear waters, fish-based meals and card games. That is until Amber, who is never satisfied, forces Pippo to catch up with the others who went ashore a few hours earlier. But there’s a glitch: the engine breaks, the waves drag their rubber boat out into the open sea, and a few days later the pair washes up on the shores of a desert island.

White beaches and seas in all possible shades of turquoise provide the magnificent backdrop against which Amber and Pippo’s fates are intertwined and inverted. The beaches are those of the Gulf of Orosei, along the central-eastern coast of Sardinia, in the Nuorese area, more specifically Cala Luna, but also in Cala Gonone in Dorgali, Capo Comino in Siniscola and, further north, Capo Ceraso (Olbia). Amber and Pippo’s difficult relationship soon turns into a fairytale love affair, but like all fairytales, this one too finishes: a ship finds them, rescues them and takes them to Alghero (SS), a beautiful place north-west of the island.
