Arturo’s island is Procida, in the Campania archipelago, shown here in all its ancestral beauty. Arturo waits, often in vain, for his father at the Corricella Marina, the oldest harbour of the island where the terraced homes feature multi-coloured facades. The highest point of the island is the Terra Murata hill, on its slopes is the 16th century Palazzo D’Avalos, a prison from 1830-1988: Arthur sees his father there calling to his friend Stella confined inside.
