Located on the Ionian coast in the province of Reggio Calabria, Capo Bruzzano is a promontory of rockfaces and cliffs carved by the wind and sea into evocative natural sculptures. The cliff acts as a windbreak for a small half-moon shaped beach which is immersed in pristine nature amid rocks of various forms. At low tide, the rocky sea floor creates natural swimming pools. Between the cape and the rockpools is a part of coastline which includes a significant tract of posidonia oceanica, the most important marine plant in the Ionian sea.
