Enchanting Ameto is located approximately 1,260 meters above sea level overlooking the town of Brunico. The tree that stands alone in a large field was planted in 1947 by EduardWolfgruber as a pledge of love for his wife Maria on their wedding. The place has not lost its romantic character and couples of all ages still come here to enjoy the magnificent view of the Brunico basin. A brass plaque was placed on the tree in 1997 to mark the couple's 50th wedding anniversary.
