The quadrangular clocktower with clocks on all sides and merlons looms from the hill of the ancient Castello neighbourhood of Mendicino. It was built in1909 following the 1905 earthquake over the last ruins of the ancient castle. It can be reached by a 132-step staircase cut into the rock and offers a stunning view over the surrounding area.
