Villa Della Porta Bozzolo is set in the peaceful landscape of Valcuvia, in Casalzuigno (VA) near Lake Maggiore.
A country lodge in the 1500s, a noble residence in the 1700s, the villa demonstrates the rise and fall of the Della Porta family, its salons decorated with 18th century Lombard fresco cycles and an Italian garden of rare beauty. The elegant rococò interiors, whose furnishings evoke the charm of time gone by, the mature rose garden with antique varieties and a striking terraced staircase combine to create a unique display of art and nature. The villa was the centre of an agricultural estate in the 1700s and these areas can be visited today: torchio (for making pasta), wine cellar, oil press, even a silk mill.
