Villa Porro Pirelli is an elegant 18th century noble residence located in the hills of Induno Olona (Varese). Previously the residence of the counts Porro, it was later owned by Senator Pirelli and is today a hotel and conference and event centre.
The villa has elegant reception rooms characterised by 18th century Lombard architecture – the sala bistrò and sala Lombardia – in addition to 64 rooms decorated with 18th century Asian furniture and beamed ceilings. Each room is named after a place of interest in the province of Varese.
The exotic style, a product of the explorer spirit of count Gian Pietro Porro, echoes throughout the villa with wooden statues from Thailand, Chinese furniture and Balinese inlays.
The villa has two presidential suites, a swimming pool, solarium, gym and the Carlo Dossi meeting room (for 16).
Adjacent to the villa is a small 18th century church with an open interior divided into three small naves by marble columns and embellished with original decorations and frescoes.
An Italian garden stretches down the hill slope in terraces, delineated by hedges, fountains and antique statues. A large area of ancient wood and parkland abuts the garden.
