Gardello tower in piazza delle Erbe, Verona, adjacent to the Baroque facade of Palazzo Maffei, is a tall brick building with crenelations built by Cansignorio della Scala in 1370 to hold the oldest bell tower in Verona.
The bell, today housed in the Museum of Castelvecchio, was created by magister Jacopus and bears the image of St. Zeno the fisherman and the Scaliger crest.
The tower rises approx. 60m and is topped by a belfry with double windows beneath crenelations.
