The Regione Lazio fund “Dalla parola allo schermo”, created with the in-house agency, LAZIOcrea, supports writing of works across a variety of genres (e.g. comedy, drama, thriller, noir, horror, fantasy, science fiction, children, animation etc.), with the following requirements: the project must be set in the present-day; strongly linked and rooted to the territory of Lazio, displaying its attractions (culture, food and wine, natural landscapes); and easily adaptable for the screen. The development rights to the project may not be ceded to third business entities, whether contractually or with an option, for at least 90 days from the submission deadline.
Projects submitted to the prior edition of “Dalla parola allo schermo” will not be accepted. An individual, alone or working with others, may submit ONE screenplay.
The screenplay must be set, strongly tied and rooted in the regional territory of Lazio.
The writer must own the story rights or copyright.

The grant will be disbursed in a single payment following publication of the standings in the Bollettino Ufficiale Regione Lazio (B.U.R.) and on the Regione Lazio and LAZIOcrea websites.
