Rino Gaetano lives with his parents in Rome, where he has always pursued his passion for music, a passion which is supported by his mother and opposed by his father, who would rather see him working at the Post Office with a steady paycheck.
His stubbornness leads him to persevere, joining a theatre troupe and going to auditions, until someone notices him in a bar, where he improvises a highly ironic and entertaining piece entitled I Love You Maryanna. It’s the beginning of his long road to success, which takes him on tour, stopping off in various places including San Felice Circeo, more specifically the rocks just below Piazzale Valente, in Quarto Caldo.
Another stop on the tour is Narni (TN), where the singer-songwriter actually studied as a young man. Here, in Madonna Scoperta, Rino and his band stop off to eat at the restaurant of a service station, which was reconstructed at the turning point in the road for Borgheria. The daughter of the manager, Chiara, who works as a waitress there, is a fan of Rino’s and knows all his songs. She helps them to run away without paying and goes with them. In the centre of Narni, in front of the theatre where he performs with his band, Rino bumps into a strange person, who inspires Nuntereggae più.
After achieving success with Gianna at Sanremo, Rino secures a contract with RCA, which urges him to record a new album. But he’s low on inspiration and decides to seek it in Stromboli, a volcanic island in the Aeolian Islands in Sicily.
