The University of Magna Graecia is located in Germaneto, on the outskirts of Catanzaro, in a 170+ hectare setting in the Corace River valley. Founded in 1998, it has 4 faculties: law, economics and sociology; clinical and experimental medicine; medical and surgical science; and health science.
The Germaneto campus has been open since 2004 and is still being completed: it has areas for student services, sporting centres, student and staff accommodation and the "Mater Domini" university hospital.
