The Real Cantina Borbonica is located on the periphery of Partinico (PA) on the San Cipirello road. The building dates to the early 19th century and was built in 1800 by King Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies to sell wine and oil produced by the Royal company.
The cantina, and its various outbuildings, develops around an ancient guard tower (14-15th century) that stands in the centre of a square of about 1,350 sqm. Next to the tower is the cantina, with a rectangular layout and tiled roof, divided into three naves supported by pilasters and arches that form cross vaults. The right and central naves are both open and empty while the left-hand nave has been closed off and used for the building of “tine a muro” and a room for use as a palmento.
