The pebble beach of Pugnochiuso, 19km from Vieste, is enclosed between two splendid promontories and is a paradise for divers looking for one-off pictures or unusual prey. There are marine caves along the coast which can be explored by boat, setting off from the lighthouse. The bay is surrounded by hills thickly covered with ancient pines and, while there are beach structures offering every comfort and service, can be hard to access.
