The Bunker is located in the post-industrial area of Barriera di Milano, north of Turin. An independent cultural space and display area for urban art and unusual performances, it hosts and promotes exhibitions and sporting and open-air activities. It was established through the partnership of a private owner and the managing “Variante Bunker” cultural association with the intent of testing new ways of proposing cultural experiences, by blending art, nature and urban reality.
The one-story Bunker stretches over 24,000m2 comprising outdoor and indoor spaces: the 3 available halls have ceilings of different heights, varying between 3-7m, and most of the flooring is in cement. In addition, there are urban orchards, a wake park, a small lake for summer sports and urban graffiti. Various ancillary rooms are available for storage, makeup, changing rooms etc., and can all be adapted to meet specific needs.
