Located about one kilometre from Castelgrande (PZ), the Church of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli stands in a small wood beneath the village. It can be reached by the road that leads from the ancient Rione Borgo, which once linked it to Muro Lucano.
We do not know exactly when it was built. Santa Maria di Costantinopoli has a Greek cross plan, a layout that is well-suited to places of commemoration and contemplation. Above the main altar which has three steps in painted and red and white coloured marbles, is a large icon with the statue of the Virgin holding the Child. The Virgin has a crown of purple crystal hanging from her hand with two angels holding another above her head, all in gold.
